Terry is one of the elders that oversees the work in Stuart, Florida as well as pulpit preaching.
Terry W. Frizzell grew up in Thayer, MO. Upon graduation from high school, he enrolled as a student at Crowley’s Ridge College in Paragould, AR. While in his second year at Crowley’s Ridge College he married the former Teri Robertson. They were married on June 10, 1987.
Upon completion of his Associate Arts degree at Crowley’s Ridge College he continued his Accounting Major at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, AR. During the time Terry was studying at Arkansas State University, God blessed their home with two children: a daughter (Casey), and a son (Creston).
While studying through his Senior Year as an Accounting Student, Terry and Teri decided that their lives would be better spent if he were proclaiming God’s Word full-time. Upon making this decision they sold their house and moved to Memphis, TN to attend the Memphis School of Preaching. During the second year of studies at the MSOP, Terry received and accepted an invitation to preach regularly with a mission congregation in Paragould, AR.
After graduating at the MSOP Terry accepted a temporary internship as an associate minister with the College and North church of Christ in Mountain Home, AR. Upon the completion of this internship, in July of 1994, the Frizzell family moved to Jacksonville, AR to work with the church at Bailey Street. Terry served as the preacher for the Bailey Street church of Christ for 4 years, ending when he accepted the invitation to work with the Jupiter-Tequesta church of Christ in June 1998.
The Frizzells moved to Tequesta, FL in June 1998 and began what would be 3 1/2 yearsof work with the Jupiter-Tequesta church of Christ. This work ended in December 2001 because Terry decided to give up full-time preaching and go back into secular work. The problem came in the fact that Terry couldn’t give up full-time preaching, and so when the invitation was extended from the Stuart church of Christ in August 2002 to work with this congregation, the Frizzells gladly accepted and began working with this church in October 2002.
Terry has been involved in several evangelistic activities throughout the time that he has been preaching. He participated in mission trips to Murmansk, Russia in 1993, 1994 and 1996. These trips consisted of daily lectures each evening, classes taught in the public school systems in Murmansk of 1st, 2nd, 4th, 6th, 7th, 10th and 11th grade students, and numerous personal Bible studies in homes. He also has conducted Gospel Meetings on the Pacific island of Guam, in Arkansas and Florida, and in the British Virgin Islands.
Terry has spoken on numerous VBS lecture series in Arkansas and Florida. He conducted a 15 minute, 5 day per week radio program called “Searching the Scriptures” for 3 years while working with the Bailey Street church of Christ, and he developed and maintained an evangelistic World Wide Web page called “Anchor Of The Soul” for more than 4 years. Terry has spoken on several lectureships during the past few years. He spoke twice at the Second Annual World Mission Forum in Tequesta, FL in 1998. He directed the Treasure Coast Lectures with the Jupiter-Tequesta church of Christ for three years, including writing for, and editing, the lectureship book. He spoke two years at the Palm Beach Lakes lectureship in West Palm Beach, FL. And he has spoken twice on the Florida School of Preaching lectureship.
Terry has been involved in medical mission campaigns every summer for several years into Lima, Peru, and is regularly involved in the School of the Americas Lima, Peru lectureship each December.
